About Brave.

Brave Ronquillo-Ascalon is a multi-disciplinary creative and entrepreneur based in New York City with a multidisciplinary background in design, business management, retail, fashion, and luxury.

Whether coming up with design strategies, organizing events or developing marketing plans for business development, Brave is equipped with ideas, experience, and skills to ensure the success of any project she handles. Her creative endeavors and technical projects are always backed up by in-depth research and analysis before executing any of her ideas.

In 2016, Brave began her career as a business development consultant in Manila by bringing a well known Korean Beauty brand called VT Cosmetics to the Philippines. She secured the distributer rights from VT Cosmetics in Korea and made the company she was working for the sole-distributer in the Philippines. She landed a merchant deal with BeautyMNL, a Filipino beauty eCommerce platform, where over 5000 VT Cosmetics products were sold in 6 months.

After pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Architecture in, Brave was appointed as the Manager and Director of Manila Pianos, the largest piano store of the Philippines, in 2019. She oversaw the curation, business and marketing aspects of the company.

Together with a philanthropist, she spearheaded a project called the 'Manila Pianos Artist Series' where every Filipino musician who are either students at universities or struggling professional pianists can come to the showroom, use the place as their rehearsal space, and hold concerts for their own fundraising causes at no costs.

In 2020, she pursued another degree at The New School in New York City where she focused on Media Studies and Liberal Arts.

After getting her second degree, she went on to work as a Brand Strategist for Yeh IDeology, a talent search and executive recruitment firm for the industrial design industry. Here, she managed the marketing efforts together with their creative director and led events to further spread the visibility of the company. Brave is currently active as a Brand Strategist for Sur Mesure Career & Sur Mesure Search where she is working on career strategy and executive searches with clients from the luxury fashion industry. Here, she had the chance to work with big luxury names such as MCM, Valentino, and Tiffany & Co.

In 2022, Brave founded Mana Gallery. Located in Brooklyn, Mana Gallery curates an exquisite collection of vintage and antique treasures. Dedicated to crafting harmonious environments by skillfully juxtaposing elements of maximalist opulence with minimalist grace. A symphony of vibrant hues dances with subtle tones, while textures, both rugged and silky, engage in a tactile dialogue. Within the gallery's realm, fabric encounters stone, and the echoes of history harmonize with contemporary whispers, fostering an experiences and crating spaces that are both timeless and captivating.
